In 1995, a core group of families from Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church began to meet, praying for a Reformed presence in the Riverview area.  On September 1, 1998, Craig Swartz was called by this core group to become its pastor, and we had our first worship service 3 1/2 weeks later at Bloomingdale West Community Center. 

We began meeting on Sunday mornings the following February, and a year later bought our current property of 35 acres on Boyette Road in Riverview, where we still meet today.  Redeemer was particularized as a church of the Presbyterian Church in America on August 26th, 2001.
